Executive Summary of the Third Annual Report
The European Network of Excellence (NoE) 3D-EM brings together recognised institutions in the field of electron microscopy (EM) to provide a platform for collaboration and integration within the EM community. The major scientific goal of 3D-EM is the establishment of standards, best practices, and improved tools in the field of structural biology. As may be expected from a large networking effort of European experts, collaboration leads to significant results - as becomes increasingly apparent in the third year of 3D-EM’s lifetime.
