In the press: Electron Microscopy Network 3D-EM gets EU-Framework support
Abstract:
With the support of the EU 6th Framework Programme, specialists in electron microscopy from 15 European institutes, together with the internationally leading manufacturer for high performance instrumentation for life science, FEI Electron Optics, have created a microscopy network designed to be the European "Network of Excellence" for three-dimensional electron microscopy. The 3D-EM Network will provide a European forum operating in various fields of structural biology to coordinate research, training activities, research-industry collaboration and the transfer of knowlegde in the field of electron microscopy. The network will be coordinated by Prof. Andreas Engel from the Biozentrum of the University of Basel.
